Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer: Jodi & Andrew Say "I Do!" Part II

I'm so excited about the photos from Jodi and Andrew's wedding, that I couldn't wait to post more. I hope you saw Part I... now onto the big moment!

I always love the groom's reaction when he first sees his bride. He looks a little nervous. ;-)

Wooohoooo!!!

Thanks to Adam for this awesome shot!

And, I have to admit... one of my absolute favorite pics came from my wonderful hubby/assistant. Way to go!! I might start to get worried that the assistant is getting better than the photographer. ;-)

Jodi got all ready for their big entrance at the reception to "Hot for Teacher."

The reception was held at Celebrations banquet center. They did a great job with decor and lighting! It set a romantic mood for the evening! And their Creatif Catering was AMAZING! Such a great variety of food and delicious pasta.

Their wedding cupcake cake was adorable! Such a great idea with little to-go boxes. Adam and I may or may not have sampled a cupcake and sampled a to-go box with an extra cupcake as well. :) (Thanks, you two!) They did an excellent job at Platinum Parties & Cake Design.

I LOVE this shot with Father and Daugther during their dance... with a little accidental magic from Adam's flash that lit up Jodi's mom in the background at the perfect moment...

DJ Tom from Catered Sounds kept the party going all night.

I loved being a part of this wedding! Best wishes to you both!

Dayton, Ohio Children's Photographer: Kaitlyn's 5 Month Session

This weekend I got to see how big Baby Kaitlyn has grown in the past five months. I'm sure you remember her adorable newborn pics from when she was only a few days old. She looks like a different baby now! She's already sitting up on her own, too! I'm so impressed.

Here is a sneak peek of some of the cute poses and expressions she made for me!

She looks like a little ballerina! So cute!

One of my favorites!! So precious!

Thanks for having me over again, Erin and Rob! I can't wait to see how much she grows until our next session!

Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer: Jodi & Andrew Say "I Do!" Part I

Yesterday, I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Jodi and Andrew. It was my first wedding of 2010, and I was eager to get wedding season started. You might remember Jodi and Andrew from their beautiful engagement pics a few weeks ago. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful! The colors were perfect and I LOVED all the pink in the wedding party! I'm so happy the weather held out for our pictures, even if the heat was sweltering. Everyone was a good sport with the outdoor photos, especially the guys in those heavy jackets.

Here are a few pics from the first half of the day for Jodi and Andrew to enjoy before they head to Jamaica tomorrow morning!

The flowers were designed by Kettering Hills and Dales. What a gorgeous bouquet!

Everyone just looked so fabulous! Enjoy your honeymoon, you two! I will have more for you to see when you return! :)

Columbus, Ohio Photographer: Another Reason I Love My Job...

One of my favorite things as a photographer is when I go into a client's home and see my photos hanging on the wall or framed on a shelf. Beth and Chris' home was no exception. I'll admit, sometimes I even surprise myself. I'll look at the pictures (which look even BETTER when framed), and say, "Oh wow, I took that?" Hehe! I try to stay humble. :)

Thank you Beth and Chris for having my capture so many precious memories over the last two years!!

Dayton, Ohio Family Photographer: Nan & Pa's Anniversary

This weekend, my entire family was happy to celebrate the 57th Anniversary... that's right, 57th! of my grandparents, who we've grown up calling Nan and Pa. We all met for dinner Sunday night at a delicious restaurant called The Barnsider.

My grandfather gave a beautiful toast to my grandmother and I just had to capture a shot of the card he gave her. It reads, "After all this time... I've still got the biggest crush on you." After 60 years together, THAT is adorable!

I was able to get some nice shots of them after dinner.

And, this is definitely one of my all-time favorite images! I only hope Adam and I are that loving 53 years from now! :)

We missed Matt, Maggie, Amber, and Jake, but were happy everyone else was able to make it! Now, some family shots... Parker, Darin, Becky, Sue, and Roger.

I'm sure you remember Parker, who's appeared in many of my photos. The camera LOVES him! :)

Karyn and Todd

Mark and Mary

Nicole and Allen, who you might recognize from their wedding pics last year!

My family - Sue, Mike, and Allison

Oh, and I guess I have to share the picture of Adam and myself. :)

I LOVE my family!! :)
