My First Save the Date Card

I had a blast shooting engagement photos with Shayla and Rahman this weekend. Shayla decided she'd like to design her Save the Date cards using one (or some) of the images from our shoot. We spent a couple hours today putting our creative heads together to design a Save the Date card that was romantic, elegant, and creative. Here is what we came up with... I LOVE it, and so did she! I can't wait to have them printed (hopefully they meet Rahman's approval!).

Dragons... and More Dragons!

Last weekend, I attended the Dayton Dragons baseball game (minor league) with my family. I like catching the pitcher in action. It looks a bit dream-like with the extra blur effect I added.

This weekend, I attended a Columbus Destroyers Arena Football game, in which they played the New York Dragons. I was on assignment for the Cougar News @ CSCC. I always like the close-ups of the players.

Other than that, I have been busy, busy, busy editing photos. I had an advertisement project due in the Advanced Digital Photography course I'm taking for some continuing ed credits. Here was the resulting design I created for my "pretend" company, if I were to specialize in Pet Photography:

I was really debating on the slogan, though. I think, "Making naughty dogs appear well-behaved for over 5 years!" would be more appropriate, don't you? :) (Not referring to Bandit, by the way!) Maybe that will become my Harrington Photography pet slogan along with my current "Enjoy your moment..." slogan that works for special events.

I've also been working hard on Baby Sebastian's photos, and Shayla and Rahman's engagement photos, all taken this weekend. Those will be posted soon for your enjoyment! I'm having a blast working on all the great shots. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Bandit Puppy Love

I had a fun time this weekend with my pet portrait shoot with Bandit, Nancy, and Mary. Mary wanted to get some cute shots of Bandit for Nancy's (her cousin) 5oth birthday gift. He seemed a little distracted and camera-shy outside, but not to worry - the pet trainer/pet photographer (yours truly) was able to capture some cute, angelic moments. :) He should be a model! Enjoy the photos! They turned out great!

Mother's Day with Lisa and Marilyn

I am keeping busy with photo shoots now that spring and summer are on their way. Despite the tornadoes and rain yesterday, I still was able to follow-through with my outdoor Mother's Day shoot with Marilyn and her daughter, Lisa, at Liberty Park in Lewis Center. It was really quiet there, thanks to the bad weather. The clouds literally decided to part and dry out as soon as we started shooting. Marilyn and Lisa were such good sports walking through puddles and in the wet grass. I had a blast and the pictures turned out wonderful! I hope you enjoy ladies! :)

John's Graduation Story

Last Sunday, I spent the morning and afternoon capturing the story of John's college graduation. I really enjoyed catching the fun moments and the big smiles. I hope the family all really enjoyed John's big moment. Congratulations again! Your pictures are ready to view! I really hope you enjoy! :)

Inniswood Gardens

I visited Inniswood Gardens, in Columbus, yesterday to scope it out for portrait shots (perfect place, by the way!) and took a few shots myself. It has everything from flowers, to greenery, to gazebos, to trellises, to waterfalls, to animals, to rocks. I look forward to setting up my first portrait or couples shoot there. Here are a few photos (some panoramas included).

Andy, Barb, and Allie's Portraits

I was busy last weekend! I had the privilege of taking some fun portraits for three beautiful people - cousins Andy and Barb, and little sis Allie. It was Andy's 15th birthday (they almost look like senior portraits, don't they?) and Barb and Allie were willing to pose for me. We did this after the sun set, so the colors are a little darker and photos a little grainy-er than they should be for a typical shoot. Either way, I think they turned out great! Click on any of the photos to see the rest of their albums! All the photos look great! Thanks guys! :)
