Delaware, Ohio Children's Photographer: Keegan Turns One!

This past year flew by in a flash! And, I'm sure many parents have felt the same way, watching their children grow up. There were a lot of new little ones I got to meet in 2010, and already they're growing bigger and bigger!! Little Keegan (aka. Keegie Weegie) is a big boy now, and he just celebrated his first birthday. I cannot believe he's walking ALL OVER the place! To be honest, though, I never remember him being a baby. I took his photos when he was a few days old. After that, I can only picture him as being a growing boy. And, at our most recent photo session, he was already standing on his own and taking his first steps. Now he's walking and has big teeth coming in!

Last weekend, he celebrated his first year with friends and family. All the sweet goodies were homemade. Awesome job, Beth!

Playing while waiting on guests to arrive.

The Sophie-Monster!!! This is the only type of picture she's interested in taking anymore! BTW - this is her "upside-down silly face," while playing in the inflatable "Bounce House."

Keegan had a moment where he wanted to cry when everyone started singing. But then he thought, "Hey! They're all singing to ME!" And, he loved it.

Sooooo cute! My Dad got this smile out of him!

My favorite moment- while trying to take a family photo, Keegan thought it would be funny to smear icing on his Daddy!

Sophie was trying out Keegan's super-cool new power drill toy. The safety googles are toooooo cute.

A little messy after cake... opening the gifts.

Happy birthday Keegs!!

Delaware, Ohio Photographer: A Very Harrington Holiday 2010

Now that I'm catching myself up from the holidays and getting a start on 2011, I thought I'd post some shots from the Harrington Christmas festivities. I'm embarassed to admit that I don't think I took any shots from Christmas Day! Oopsie! BAD photographer. We were too busy playing with my Dad's new point-and-shoot camera. So, I'll have to steal some pics from him!

Here was our Christmas Eve! Family shot with Adam, my sister Allison, and my parents, Sue and Mike.

Adam and I at my Grandparents' house. It's a tradition to take everyone's photos in front of the fireplace EVERY year.

My Mom's side of the family- Mary, Barb, Mom (Sue), Rita, Bill, Grandpa, Grandma, Jim (missing their sister Diane).

After dinner and gifts at my grandparents' we went to Adam's Grandma Sue's for treats and games. Her tree and gifts always look AMAZING!!!!! She is so creative and crafty!

Beautiful gifts under the tree!

I thought this shot into the mirror was cool. I always liked the concept of peeking in a window to a warm household of people celebrating the holidays, laughing and enjoying themselves. Kind of like the Christmas Carol concept when Scrooge is looking in the windows. Maybe I'm strange, but this photo gave me that effect. Now, if only "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was playing, it'd be perfect!

My sister-in-law Kelly and her husband Brian with Grandma Sue.

The whole family hadn't gotten a photo together in ages, so I volunteered my talents. Uncle Scott, Grandma Sue, Aunt Jill, and Aunt Lori.

Adam and me with Grandma Sue.

And, they have about a million cats at their house. :) I can't keep them all straight. So, here are a few of my favorite shots of various kitties!

Someone's hiding in the tree! The kittens love playing with the garland and bows.

Grandma Sue with their super sweet doggy Quincy. He LOVES me!

Hope you had wonderful holidays with your loved ones! Happy 2011!

Delaware, Ohio Photographer: Sands Night Out!

This evening I met up with my friend Sharr (whom you might remember from her recent family photos) and her best friends from college. They were all in a sorority together, and they all call one another "Sands." So, here are the five Sands and our meet up at the Marriott Residence Inn Downtown Columbus. Their makeup looked great thanks to Mac Makeup at Macy's Easton. I'm sure everyone will have their favorites because there are many more to come, but these are mine!

Sharr's close-up. We were just playing around at the beginning to test the lighting (which was probably one of the most challenging settings I've worked with!) and this came out - first try! I'm not even sure that I composed the shot, haha! We were just talking and taking shots.

And THIS is my absolute FAVORITE pic I think that I've taken. Other than softening skin and slight cropping, this is straight out of camera!

Now for Tonika - she knew how to work it for the camera! She's a natural!

Toni's close-up. She looked great in the lighting, too!

Michele loved posing! She is clearly a fan of "Top Model" and was striking her best pose in front of an old vault.

I love the dramatic lighting... this is new territory for me!

And Cassandra looked fab in her close-ups.

Parting shot... Thanks for your patience, ideas, and talent ladies! It was fun!!

Delaware, Ohio Photographer: Dogs, dogs, dogs!!

The other day, my doggies were being so completely cuddly and adorable, I had to take pictures (if for no other reason than to show my husband, as he LOVES cuddling with sleepy doggies). But, I thought I'd share them all with you, too!

I came upstairs to find Tators snoozing on our bed in this position. I had no time to get any camera settings ready, I tiptoed into my office, grabbed the camera, assembled it, and snapped because a milli-second later, Booce came in the room and ruined the shot!

I could never get him to lay with his paws quite the same way again, but with some chin and head scratching, I got him to put his head down again. He looks like an old over-loved rag doll... :)

And, then Booce really ruined the photos! This is very similar to our daily morning routine. When Booce is ready to wake up he likes to pet Tators and lick his face. That's how he engages him in play. Better him than me!!

Boocers!!

Delaware, Ohio Photographer: Card Designs

Hello 2011!!! I hope all my friends, family, and clients had a WONDERFUL holiday season! I can't believe it came and went so quickly... it was JUST Halloween! I enjoyed a well-deserved (in my opinion) holiday break from work. But, now I think it's time to get back to work! Keep checking my blog for new things to come for 2011. I will be launching a new program for clients soon, have tons of photos to review from 2010, will be updating my website, and I have lots of pics from my holidays to share with you! And, of course, plenty of upcoming portrait sessions for you to enjoy.

To begin, check out the revamped blog... you like? I always struggle to work with the pre-set Blogger templates, so this is what I could do with it and my lack of knowledge of html code. I'm happy with the change for now.

Also, check out this cool new feature: at the bottom of each blog post, you can click on your "reaction" to the post. Did you love it? Did it get you teary eyed? Was it a favorite? Show me your love by clicking the boxes or leaving comments! Thanks a bunch!

Here are a few designs I did for 2010, thought I'd share them with you!

Our 2010 Harrington Holiday Card

And, remember Erika and Kevin? They had me design a Save the Date card for them this fall. Check it out! I cannot wait until the wedding!!!
