Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer: Baby Ella

You may remember the "B" Family from just over a year ago, when we had a photo session with their latest "new arrival" - Boomer the Beagle!

A year later, our friends Kathy, Sean, and Aidan are welcoming another new arrival - Baby Ella! Baby Ella just turned 3 months old this week and we got to capture some cute shots of her and the family. And of course Boomer, who is now the low man on the totem pole. (Aww... Boomer - my hubby and I will kidnap you so you can sleep in our bed with the other dogs!)

We began our session with some indoor shots in my favorite - the Bumbo Chair.

Ella is such a cute-pie. How adorable is this??

Big brother Aidan is so proud of his little sis!

Ella is a daddy's girl and she was just lovin' it when Sean was blowing raspberries on her cheek.

Leave it to my husband, Adam, to do the "silly dance" behind me to get Aidan to laugh while taking pictures.

Soooo big already! She and the rest of the family will be towering over me in about 5 years... not joking.

And, don't forget the noble Boomer!

Thanks for having us out for pictures! AND, thanks for recommending Whit's Frozen Custard for a treat afterwards. Yummo!!

Columbus, Ohio Wedding Photographer: Brittany and Matt's Engagement

This weekend I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with Brittany and Matt here in Columbus! They were so kind to drive up and meet me at one of my favorite park locations - Inniswood Metro Garden. I love all the flowers, scenery, and variety that they have. However, my one complaint is that the park rangers are crazy!!! During this session, this was my second - not first - time getting yelled at for smushing flowers that we didn't smush! The rangers watch everyone, especially photographers, like hawks there and then make wild accusations! I thought poor Matt was going to get walked away in handcuffs after laying his extra shirt on a rock, too close to the greenery. Geesh!

Anyway, Brittany and Matt had first gotten in contact with me almost a year ago to discuss shooting their wedding. Turns out, they've decided upon a destination wedding in Florida, so they wanted to get some engagement shots with me before then. So glad you two contacted me again! I had a great time and I hope you two did too! Hope you enjoy!

First, the BEAUTIFUL ring!

I told Brittany to be sassy and told Matt to check her... umm... out. And then she did the same. Too cute!!

Brittany's great idea!

Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer: Jodi & Andrew's Engagement

I am excited to introduce you to Jodi and Andrew! They are the next Harrington Photography wedding couple, and I was so excited when I talked to Jodi this week and she had finally decided to do an engagement session.

As a note to any upcoming Harrington wedding couples (*hint, hint, wink, wink*), I think an engagement session is a WONDERFUL way to get comfortable in front of the camera, to get to know your photographer better, to have fun, and to have wonderful memories of the two of you that you can even display at your wedding or reception!! (I hope you two agree!)

We could not have had a more beautiful day for photos. We went to MY engagement session location - Cox Arboretum in Dayton. It was super packed, but there were plenty of "hidden" places we were able to find away from the crowd. And, Jodi and Andrew were such good sports - never had a problem with sitting in grass, dirt, rocks... you name it! Open to anything!

The colors were AMAZING and Jodi's pink shirt made the color all the more vivid. I am having such a great time working on all these pics that it was so hard to choose favorites. So, I've narrowed it down to about 70! I'll make you two do the hard part - choosing! Here's a few favorite-favorites so far!

I told Andrew to make her laugh... and he did. These are my favorite kinds of moments.

LOVE this shot!

I had to entertain the voyeur in me. :)

I had to embrace the beautiful blue sky and sunshine!

I absolutely can NOT wait until the wedding next month!!! Stay tuned... :)

Dayton, Ohio Children's Photographer: Keegan and Sophie

As I mentioned last week, I'm back from my winter hiatus and back in the swing of taking photos. I had a GREAT weekend capturing some amazing moments! My first session of the weekend was with Harrington Photography "poster children" Keegan and Sophie. :) You may remember my first session with Keegan from a few months back, in January. He was a wee little one... only 5 days old! Now he's 4 MONTHS old already! But, he seems much more savvy and sophisticated than 4 months. He has SO much personality. What a doll!! And a total HAM for the camera!

Our session had to begin with big sis Sophie warming up the camera while Keegan was in "hair and makeup." :)

I caught this cute moment with Keegan, Mommy Beth, and Grammy Nancy. Grammy Nancy had that baby giggling so loud.

Cutest thing I've ever seen!

No wait.... THIS must be the absolute cutest thing. Maybe I'm just biased, but I don't think there's anything cuter than a boy and his dog. And that grin just makes you melt!

Go Bucks!

Precious pic of Mommy and Sophie.

Sophie was blowing her Mommy kisses.

Love. It.

Already wanting to stand and walk at 4 months!

This should be on Chris' desk at work!

HA! Love it again. What hilarious expressions this boy has. He's wanting to say, "Hey lady, why don't you hand me the remote!"

Thanks Beth, Chris, and Nancy! This was too cute and too much fun! There are many more where that came from!

Dayton, Ohio Children's Photographer: Wyatt's First Birthday Party

Hi everyone! I know I've been MIA for a while this winter. I was busy cozying up and trying to stay warm, while taking time to relax. But now, "photo season" is upon us and I'm already booking up for the first half of the summer. I'm excited to work with some new clients (including some very "brand new" little clients), but also very excited about working with some current clients again.

My first session of the spring, was just that - my third session with little Wyatt and his family. This time I got to meet the whole extended family at his first birthday party at Young's Dairy in Yellow Springs.

It has been really fun getting to see him grow over the last 6 months. You may remember our very first time meeting, back in November of last year. Wyatt was just 6 months old then. And, our last session was in February, and since then he's grown a lot more! They just grow up so fast!

Of course, no first birthday would be complete without letting your child eat his cake all by himself! We even had some bystanders at Young's watching Wyatt feast on the frosting.

He seems pretty satisfied with himself!

Special moment with his Oma.

Mommy and Wyatt

Wyatt and his family who came to visit.

It was a fun afternoon, despite cold temps and high winds in the middle of May! Hope you enjoy!
