Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer: Katie & Darius Part II

Okay, you two... I know you've been waiting for this. Here is Part II of your wedding day and the beginning of your lives together. These are my favorites. Enjoy!

But first... another try at HDR for some special effects on the dress. I wanted the details to really stand out, so I overexaggerated the effects a bit. Not sure what I think about it yet. Yes...? No...? Totally surreal looking for sure. Katie, I think I just turned your dress into a cartoon! :)

The aisle runner, flower petals, and pew bows just make a perfect setting for this shot.

One of my favorites! My second favorite moment of the wedding - the first kiss!! (My favorite is the groom's reaction while the bride walks up the aisle... and I'm saving that one for the slide show.) It looks like no one's in the room but them! Love this telephoto lens!

Are they happy or WHAT? :)

This was Katie's great idea. It turned out really cute. The church altar is just so pretty.

What a great portrait!

Another new favorite!

The beautiful and delicious cake was made by Cake Creations. Yum! You could just smell the icing within a five foot radius of the cake.

Entertainment, music, and lights by Party Pleasers - great people to work with.

I love their genuine reactions as they sang to KC and JoJo.

Dayton, Ohio Photographer: Lacey's Newborn Session

My third and final session this weekend was with little newborn Lacey Renee. I was so excited to hear that they gave her the same middle name as me!!! She is only barely two weeks old and SO cute. This session was special because she is the baby of my best friend from high school, Amanda and her husband David. I hadn't seen them in probably three years so it was great to get to connect and catch up. Thanks so much for having me visit!!

So, enjoy my last blog post of the night. Thanks to the Golden Girls for getting me through several hours of edits tonight. It's been fun seeing the photos come to life!

You've gotta love the little wrinkly feet. So cute!! She has such long, skinny feet!

I LOVE the black & white edits.

Amanda has always been so crafty. She made a lot of the decor in Lacey's room, including this decopage of her name.

Her dark hair is so thick and pretty.

Cute shoes which look so giant even on her long feet. :)

Mommy and baby... so sweet.

Dayton, Ohio Photographer: Logan's Portraits

My second shoot of the weekend was for a children's session with little Logan. He was just too cute and more than agreeable to pose for me. He's only three years old and the camera loves him! He reminded me a lot of my little cutie cousin Parker (who you've seen on my blog many times before).

It was so great to meet Logan and his Grandma Cindy, who arranged the session this weekend. I can't wait to share the rest of the pictures with you, but here are some favorites for you to enjoy!!

They have such a BEAUTIFUL yard!

I think this one is my absolute FAVORITE so far... what a cute smile!

A little wardrobe change...

I love the passion with which he blows those bubbles!

How cute! Aren't you glad you got in a picture, Cindy? :)

Dayton, Ohio Wedding Photographer: Katie & Darius Part I

My weekend started off with the beautiful wedding of Katie and Darius. It was exciting for me because I didn't even get to meet the couple until wedding day! And I was so happy that they were so great to work with. I was also so impressed with all the photography planning Darius did - he was the one that took care of all the details (future grooms, take note!).

The day was beautiful, and we were so happy the rain (and heat) held off. The entire day was just so fun and I'm glad I got to be a part of it. I was so excited about how great their pictures are turning out that I just couldn't wait to share a few. Here's a sneak peek at Part I of wedding day - before the ceremony. Enjoy!!!

Hair and make-up for both of the girls were done by Michael's Salon, and they looked totally FAB!

I loved this pic so much because I thought it was so cute that Katie was rehearsing her vows over and over.

I loved the close-up, macro shots. Loved the bling on all three rings!

This was one of the prettiest churches, inside and out. Great stained glass windows and doorways. The flowers, from Oberer's, were SO bright and colorful

A little HDR magic to bring out the color in the building and the sky.

The beautiful bride. Kudos to my hubby/assistant for this great shot!

The handsome groom.

Love, love, LOVE the color!

Great pic of Darius! I think he's got this posing thing down.

The guys started to have some fun with their poses. I love new ideas - a lot of fun!

Katie and her bridesmaid Ashley. Both of their dresses were absolutely amazing.

Stay tuned for many, many more great pics in Part II...

Starting this summer, Harrington Photography is offering new merchandise for all portrait and wedding packages.

My personal favorites are the magnets, available as a set of two sheet magnets or one square or round porcelain magnet. They are fab!

Another new option that can help the budget-conscious family or couple are pre-designed greeting cards. They cost less than the special order designs, but are just as great! They can be personalized with your name and a special message. Choose from dozens of templates for everything from Christmas, to Hanukkah, Easter, Graduation, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, as well as birth and wedding announcements and Thank You cards. Use your favorite Harrington photo to make it personal!

Another great gift for the avid reader is a bookmark. The aluminum bookmark ensures that you will never lose your place or your memories.

Other new products being offered this summer include: canvas prints (samples coming soon), puzzles, mouse pads, and coasters. All of these items make great gifts for loved ones!
