Dayton, Ohio Children's Photographer: Watching Kaitlyn Grow!

I have had the pleasure of watching and capturing little Kaitlyn grow up over the past year, and it's hard to believe that she'll be almost a year old soon! It all started just over a year ago, when I met Kaitlyn's mom, Erin, as a bridesmaid in Nicole and Allen's wedding.

Kaitlyn was born in January, and soon after, we had her newborn session together. Then in June, I got to catch up with them again for a 5 month session. That brings us to this weekend, when we met for fall and Halloween photos. I certainly hope this isn't the last of our sessions! I've greatly enjoyed spending time with your family! I hope you enjoy!

And, we can't forget their doggies this time - brothers Aiden and Waylon. I'm not sure which one is which, though. :)

Alright, folks... it's time for the moment that I'm sure you ALL have been waiting for. It's time to reveal the 2010 Harrington Dogs' Halloween Costumes! I always like to create a lot of suspense by keeping it a surprise from everyone, including their grandparents. But, since Trick or Treat is upon us, I figured it was time for a weekend treat! But first, a peek into our past weekend, a shot of my lovely assistant/hubby Adam and some "ripe" pumpkins at Freeman Farms.

Columbus, Ohio Family Photographer: Meet Laura & Kate!

Today we had another gorgeous evening for photos. I really enjoyed the session because I got to walk around OSU's campus and see many places I had never been! It really is a truly beautiful college.

Laura, who happens to be my sister's roommate, heard that I was a photographer and wanted to hire me to get some shots of her and her sister Kate for Christmas gifts for their parents. What a great idea! I'm so glad they knew all kinds of great places on campus to get shots. There were students everywhere, but we managed to shoot around them. Thanks for a great evening!! Dayton, Ohio Family Photographer: Meet Baby Ethan!

Meet baby Ethan Jacob! My little cousin Amber, and her husband Jake, had this little "surprise" back in August. Ethan is now just two months old. For the past year, Amber and Jake had been expecting a little baby girl to arrive, and much to their surprise, out came Ethan!! I guess even the best doctors and nurses can make mistakes! I'm sure it was a shock at first, but, I know they are super happy to have Ethan in their lives now.

This week Amber and her mom, Maggie, made a trip to Dayton to visit all of the family so we could meet Ethan for the first time. I had just a few minutes to take some shots that evening after his bottle and before he fell asleep for the night. It was great to see everyone and I hope you like the shots of this cutie pie!




Mommy Amber is so grown up now!! Makes me feel old! :)

Columbus, Ohio Children's Photographer: Meet Courtney Leigh!

I was super excited for my special session with little Courtney Leigh, also known as "Ms. C" or "Little." Our good friends Jim and Steph had this beautiful baby girl almost four months ago, and she's growing quickly. Her Mom and Dad picked up some great props for our "fall scene" at their home. I'm not sure Courtney knew what to make of all the pumpkins, gourds, and straw/hay. (We still haven't determined - is this straw or hay?) In fact, there were some gourds I wasn't even sure about!! :)


Little thought maybe the gourds were food. A few minutes later (a little delayed reaction) she started coughing and making the icky face. Gourds are not for eating!

She loves, loves, LOVES her Mommy's kisses.
Courtney thought she'd throw off our whole session by going to sleep 20 minutes into it. But, we had other plans for her!
