Delaware, Ohio Newborn Photographer: Meet Baby Emerson Alan!

I was so excited to meet a brand new little one for my session today. Little Emerson joined his 3 other big siblings and parents at home just yesterday. He is only 5 days old!! His Mommy got a Harrington Photography Gift Certificate at her Baby Shower and I think that was such a great gift idea!! You just can't beat photo memories of your brand new little one! Enjoy!

I loved his little quirky expression! He just did NOT want to sleep and miss all the photo action.

Mom and Dad, Bethany and Alan, are just so calm and laid-back with him, you can tell they are pros!

Thank you for letting me be the first to capture memories of little Emerson!!

Delaware, Ohio Children's Photographer: Meet Baby Adrianna and the "S" Family!

When I met the "S" Family for our session today, I just knew it was going to be a fun time. Their children are adorable and so sweet! And, I LOVE that they have family photos all over their home! I really hope you love your pics from today! Enjoy!

The whole family posed in Baby Adrianna's nursery. I loved the green and pinks together. The decor was beautiful!

This is probably one of my absolute favorite pics!

Delaware, Ohio Pet Photographer: A Photographer and Her Dog

There are not many recent portraits out there of myself. I love hiding behind the camera. But, since my doggy Tators was diagnosed with lymphoma - an unbelievable 10 weeks ago today - I figured it would be good to have more "family" pictures. So, I let my husband/assistant take over the reins behing the camera several weekends ago, and here are the results. I still don't think I could ever possibly have "enough" photos of me and Tators. So, not to be self-indulgent, but here are my faves! Thanks Adam! :)

Waving "hello!"

And a happy 10th Birthday to Tators tomorrow! :)

Delaware, Ohio Event Photographer: The 2011 Jamboree

Last weekend (amongst the 10,000 other things we did) we got together with our friends from The Ghosts of Ohio for our 2011 Summer Jamboree! This is one of my most favorite events and always includes traveling to an Ohio park - this year it was Germantown Metro Park - grilling out, kickball, hiking, potato sack races, fun, fun, and more fun! This year there were lots of kids and little ones. Courtney and Ella became fast friends. And, I love this pic, because as soon as Ella sat down, Courtney wanted to hug her! Awww... precious!

Courtney is just as cute as a button, and today she celebrates her first birthday!

They started their own little game of "sharing grass clippings" later on.

Ella with her mommy Kathy.

The adults and big kids (or maybe those two are one in the same!) had some fun with the potato sack races.

There was intense competition between Adam and Jim. Aidan, in the background, was probably wondering why the adults were so crazy! :)

The group photo!

The "ghost gang" has really become a second family to us!

Delaware, Ohio Event Photographer: Allison's OSU Graduation

This weekend we celebrated my little sister's OSU graduation at the "Shoe"! She earned her BA in Chemistry, BS in Molecular Genetics, and a minor in Forensic Science. This fall, she will be going to Marshall University for their Forensic Science Graduate program.

It was perfect weather at the "Shoe" for graduation. It was mid-70s, sunny, with a nice breeze! But, I will tell you, if you ever go, be prepared for it to be an all-day event. We were there for 2.5 hours and the keynote speaker only spoke for about 10 minutes! There were 9,700 graduates!! So, it was like a real-life game of "Where's Waldo?" all day! Luckily, my family planned ahead and sat in the section right next to where Allison was supposed to sit. Can you spot her?

In black are all the graduates - doing the "O" during "Carmen Ohio."

I was able to zoom way in and crop the photos of her getting her diploma. There were 11 students getting their diplomas at once, so it looked like organized mass chaos.

There we are with her, photo by Dad.

Her and her friends celebrating.

Lincoln Tower (their old dorm) serves as the "I".

My family.

Finally, we had the idea to walk all around campus and have Allie spell out the OHIO letters at some of her favorite places... the "Shoe", Lincoln Tower, University Hall, and Mirror Lake (where she's jumped in a time or two!).

After the ceremony, we headed to the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate! Congratulations to Allison!
